imprison your boss

Has your boss been making you work harder than you deem apropriate? Is he slacking off and making you do some of his work? Well then, pull this off and make him or her stay more time at work. The only problem is that once they figure out how to get out, you might not work there any longer (if they find out it was you).

Note: Do not try to lock your boss at work (unless he really is a prick). I was only kidding.

top 20 campus internets

The internet is such a big part of college life now-a-days. I know that at least half my friends are signed in to AIM 24 hours a day. Another half download music, TV shows, movies, and other “free” stuff.

So where are the best campus internets? The below list was compiled by PC Magazine, the Princeton Review, and Gizmodo (for the last 10 items). The list ranks all schools according to download and upload speeds, whether the school allows peer-to-peer networks like Limewire and BitTorrent, the availability of online course material, computer training classes and documents, and the amount of distant learning resources.

And here’s the list:

  1. Villanova University
  2. M.I.T.
  3. Indiana University Bloomington
  4. Swarthmore College
  5. Creighton University
  6. University of Illinois
  7. Michigan Tech University
  8. University of Southern California
  9. Quinnipiac University
  10. University of Oklahoma
  11. United States Military Academy
  12. University of Minnesota Twin Cities
  13. St. John’s University
  14. Clarkson University
  15. Temple University
  16. Stevens Institute of Technology
  17. Stanford University
  18. Eckerd College
  19. Pomona College
  20. University of Virginia

If you go to any of these schools or if you think your school should be on this list, please post a comment.

DRM – delirious riaa material

I am concerned not many people know what DRM is. DRM really stands for digital rights management (not delirious RIAA material) and it is a way for people to control how and when you can listen to music you have already bought the rights to.

The problem with DRM is that it only hurts people who download music legally and forces more of those people to obtain DRM-free music by downloading them off peer-to-peer networks like Limewire, Kazaa, Bit Torrent, etc.

iTunes just recently went DRM-free for all of EMI’s (a major record label) music. I will now finally be downloading some music legally and giving a little bit of money back to the artists instead of just Limewiring them.

Below is one of the best “ads” I have seen about anything related to this subject. It was made by Clayton Mograf and the awesome song is called Century Train by Presteign. You can download it for free on their MySpace page.

do you know your 50 states?

Inspired partially by yesterday’s how many faces can you find? we have added a new category called waste some time. In this category we will post fun little games you can spend some time playing.

50 states game

Today we feature a game called 50 States. In this game you must correctly place the state image onto a map of the US. At the end of the game, after you have placed all 50 states, you get a score. I didn’t do so bad with an average error of only 81 miles and a score of 62.74. Tell me what you get.

Here is the link to the game: 50 States game on Shockwave.com

Friends - The Complete Tenth SeasonAlthough the TV show Friends is mostly targeted at women, I still enjoy it. It makes me laugh and enjoy the time I spend watching it with my own friends. Here is the tenth season DVD set for $21.77.
